Inspiration of My Fair Lady

Monique Renault, a traditional animation director from the Netherlands, was invited to give a speech at my university.

I was impressed by her film "Psychoderche", and what impressed me most was that how it expressed Feminism

Then, when I was on my first personal project, "Psychoderche" came to my mind immediately.

A woman who is turning her body over the bed, a character with simple movement is what my project needs.

I thought the body's curve and its uncertain shape is interesting, but my problem was how to make it sense?

Then, I solved my idea with porn.

“Why do men watch porn?” with this question as a starting point,

turning the perspective of how men materialize women into the view of my audience,

making the movement turn into men's delusion.

But at the end of the film I’m going to tell the men that

even though you can watch my body with filthy thoughts, but the domination of my body is still mine.

在一次機會下，荷蘭手繪動畫導演Monique Renault被邀請來系上演講，

其中令我印象最深刻的，就是她用簡單的線條，表達女性主義思考的Psychoderche這部作品，

當我開始準備我的動畫專題時，我便馬上想起了這部作品。

一個角色及一個動作的簡單動畫，是專題內容的目標，我突然浮現一個女人正在翻身的畫面。

而身體所呈現出來的曲線帶出的不確定感使線條多了許多有趣的可能。

我開始去構思要怎樣在一個看起來好像沒有任何意義的動作中

找到有意義的東西加進我的專題，這個時候我想到的便是A片。

我想從為什麼男生會去看A片這個心態做為出發點，

把男性將女性物化所形成的觀點變成觀眾在看作品的觀點，

讓女人翻身這個動作變成感覺像是男性妄想女人會做的事情。

但是到了最後，又加上了一點女性主義的想法，

告訴男性雖然你能用有色的眼光看著我的身體，

但是最後這個身體的所有權(或是說主導權)還是在我身上。
